Shahrukh Khan (born 2 November 1965) often credited as Shah Rukh Khan and informally referred to as SRK, is an Indian film actor. Known as "The King of Bollywood", Khan has acted in over 75 Hindi films. He began his career appearing in several television serials in the late 1980s and made his film debut in Deewana (1992) which won him the Filmfare Best Debut Award. The following year, he appeared in the critically acclaimed crime thriller Baazigar, for which he earned his first Filmfare Best Actor Award. Khan has subsequently won fifteen Filmfare Awards, and holds the record for receiving the most Filmfare Best Actor Awards along with Dilip Kumar, eight wins. He has also won six IIFA Awards including "The Star of the Decade Award", eight Zee Cine Awards of which six are for Best Actor (also a record), fourteen Star Screen Awards, three Bollywood Movie Awards, two Global Indian Film Awards and many other awards and was nominated for Best Actor at the Asian Film Awards.

  • 2005 – Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian award from the Government of India
  • 2009 – Among the 10 recipients of the IIFA-FICCI Frames Awards for the "Most Powerful Entertainer of the Decade"
  • 2010 – Global Entertainment and Media personality Award at FICCI Frames 2010 Excellence awards.

 

Bollywood Movie Awards:

The Bollywood Movie Awards was an annual film award ceremony held between 1999 and 2007 celebrating films and actors from the Bollywood film industry based in Mumbai, India. Khan has won four awards from five nominations.
